We are delighted to be working with the ESCMID Study Group for Veterinary Microbiology (ESGVM) to highlight the importance of antimicrobial stewardship by accrediting their upcoming course, Emerging laboratory and point-of-care technologies for detection of AMR and bacterial infection in veterinary medicine.
This online course will be of particular interest to veterinary professionals involved in microbiology diagnostics and treatment of animal infections. During the day attendees will hear from a number of experts on topics including:
- Conventional and molecular techniques underpinning laboratory detection of antimicrobial resistance, as well as diagnosis and control of animal infectious agents.
- The development and availability of new diagnostic tools (both laboratory based and point-of-care) capable of delivering faster and more accurate results.
- The prospects of integrating new emerging technologies (eg, mass spectrometry, next generation sequencing) in veterinary diagnostics laboratories.
This one-day course is a fantastic opportunity for veterinary professionals to develop and refresh their knowledge on a range of related topics. The online course takes place on Wednesday 9 March 2022 and registration closes on 7 March. Full information is available on the ESCMID website at www.escmid.org/education
