General Practitioner Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery
The General Practitioner Advanced Certificate is accredited by ISVPS and has been developed for veterinary professionals who wish to advance their knowledge, progress their academic qualifications, and gain recognition in their field.
In partnership with Improve International and Harper Adams University (HAU), the General Practitioner Advanced Certificate is designed for veterinary surgeons who have already completed a relevant certificate and wish to evidence deeper learning
Requirements
To achieve the General Practitioner Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery, awarded by ISVPS, candidates are required to
- Complete the full modular training programme
- Completion of the pre and post module questions is strongly advised as an important part of your exam preparation, however, completion is not compulsory to achieve the certificate
- Submit Case Logs
- Submit a 2,500 word Case Report
- Undertake an online 90 minute Online Applied Knowledge Examination (OAKE) and online 90 minute Case Based Scenario examination (CBS)
Please note – For courses which started prior to 1st January 2023 – previous assessment requirements are confirmed in the enrolment booklet, in the candidate area.
Candidates will also be required to complete the following additional study:
- Further reading on the taught subjects
- Additional study of the non-taught areas of the course syllabus
On successful attainment of the GPAdvCert(SAOS) candidates will be awarded with a personalised certificate and their name will be included in the ISVPS register of General Practitioner Advanced Certificate holders.
