In partnership with Improve International, Scivac and Harper Adams University the GPAdvCert programme is designed for veterinary surgeons who have already completed a General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) or Postgraduate Certificate (Pgc) and wish the deepen their knowledge.
To be eligible to sit the Nurses Certificate examination, candidates must complete the ISVPS accredited course of study with Improve International. In addition to the taught modular programme, candidates are required to complete further study in their own time as well as submitting various pieces of course work and sitting a final written examination. Please refer to the individual subject for further information.
You can attend the modules if you are registered with the RCVS as a student veterinary nurse and or not in practice; however, you will not be able to attain the NCert qualification.
Veterinary Technician CertificateVeterinary specialists are encouraged to assume responsibility in various situations in everyday practice. This role makes the TFA irreplaceable help in practice and it is often their first contact with patients and owners. Our program for additional qualification for TFA (Veterinary Technicians) was developed in order to consolidate a solid basis in the field of anesthesia assistance, while at the same time conveying important innovations relating to anesthesia in everyday practice. Supported by the experienced speakers, whose lectures address all the important points about modern anesthesia with infectious enthusiasm, the interactive learning atmosphere can be used ideally. After completing the course program, an examination at the ISVPS is also possible, with the passing of which an internationally recognized VTCert (Veterinary Technician Certificate) is awarded.
The Foundation Certificate (FCert) is a new ISVPS award aimed to refresh the knowledge gained during the course of the vet undergraduate studies and continuing professional development. The certificate is also ideal as an addition to other more extensive ones, such as the GPCert award, to enhance the knowledge in that specific area of interest. It was developed for veterinary professionals attending a fast-track program wishing to gain a first step, middle-tier, peer recognised qualification.
