ISVPS veterinary paraprofessional programmes enable animal care assistants, veterinary laboratory technicians, and other auxiliary staff to gain new knowledge and skills that support their daily role as paraprofessionals. These programmes are aimed at assisting the professional development of individuals who may be fulfilling the role of a veterinary nurse or technician in clinical practice but do not hold recognised formal qualifications.
Why take an ISVPS paraprofessional qualification?
ISVPS has been developing and accrediting veterinary qualifications for over 20 years. Our world-leading qualifications enable busy veterinary paraprofessionals to acquire the skills and techniques needed to enhance their roles in animal care and in supporting veterinary colleagues.
ISVPS Paraprofessional Certificates are highly relevant to clinical practice and are designed to be achievable alongside a full-time career. The assessment process is tailored specifically to individuals working in animal nursing roles, drawing on both their practical experience and the knowledge gained throughout the programme.
Veterinary paraprofessionals who achieve an ISVPS qualification gain confidence in their skills, experience improved job satisfaction, and earn greater respect from both colleagues and clients.
What qualifications for veterinary paraprofessionals do we offer?
ISVPS Certificate for Veterinary Paraprofessionals
The ISVPS Veterinary Paraprofessional Certificate (VPPCert) is a qualification designed for individuals working as veterinary nurses, technicians, or other auxiliary staff who have not received formal training. This programme enables animal nursing assistants, lab technicians, and other unqualified support staff to obtain an internationally recognised certificate, enhance their knowledge and skills, build confidence, and improve their job satisfaction.
Upon successful completion of the assessments, candidates are awarded the VPPCert with a personalised certificate and the right to use the postnominals VPPCert, followed by their specific discipline abbreviated in brackets. Your postnominals may be displayed wherever you deem appropriate; however, we advise checking with regional professional bodies regarding recognition and inclusion on registers.
Successful candidates’ names will also be added to the ISVPS Official Register of Certificate Holders.
