ISVPS veterinary paraprofessional programmes enable animal care assistants, veterinary laboratory technicians, and other auxiliary staff to gain new knowledge and skills that support their daily role as paraprofessionals. These programmes are aimed at assisting the professional development of individuals who may be fulfilling  veterinary nurse or technician roles in clinical practice but do not hold recognised formal qualifications (subject to eligibility requirements).

ISVPS Veterinary Paraprofessional Certificates (VPPCert) are applicable  to clinical practice and are designed to be achieved by those working in a full-time career. The assessment process is tailored specifically to individuals working in animal nursing roles, drawing on both their practical experience and the knowledge gained throughout the programme.

Veterinary paraprofessionals who study towards an  ISVPS qualification develop the knowledge and understanding that can be applied to their daily clinical role, improving confidence in their skills, job satisfaction, and team collaboration.
