Foundation Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care
This qualification can be achieved following the completion of a dedicated modular training program accredited by ISVPS and successful completion of the required ISVPS assessment. The Foundation Certificate assessment can be undertaken upon course completion at a time to suit the candidate thus providing increased flexibility of award attainment.
The value of the Foundation Certificate is that it allows the veterinarians who achieved it to immediately apply their newly gained knowledge and explore the topics within veterinary medicine that they are most interested in. It also provides the opportunity to complete more than one certificate and experiment in different subject areas of the veterinary field before potentially moving towards a next-level qualification such as the ISVPS GPCert award.
Requirements
To achieve the FCert(E&CC) candidates are required to:
- Attend the ISVPS-accredited modular training programme (ALL modules must be attended)
- Sit an online remote-invigilated multiple-choice question (MCQ) examination (1 hour)
The required study has been calculated around 4 hrs per module.
On successful attainment of the FCert(E&CC) candidates are awarded a personalised certificate.
Frequently asked questions
Following course completion, candidates have up to two years (3 x examination) to satisfy ISVPS assessment requirements to obtain the FCert.
